Modernisation of Industrial HMI

Leap Solutions partnered with JBT Marel to modernise a legacy industrial HMI system (Human Machine Interface) by upgrading it to a modern, web-based user interface. The original solution was built on an outdated platform that was no longer supported or available, which created the need for a future-proof replacement.

The project involved migrating the existing operator interface to a browser-based frontend developed in Vue. The goal was to keep the familiar workflows and visual design that operators rely on in daily operations.

Based on a detailed analysis of screens, signals and control logic, Leap Solutions recreated the user interface in a modern architecture. The solution was continuously validated against the existing system using parallel test environments, to ensure the same functionality and user experience.

The result was a near 1:1 migration that kept the need for operator retraining to a minimum, while the company gained a flexible, maintainable and future-proof platform.
