JBT Marel – HMI Migration

Leap Solutions supported JBT Marel in upgrading a legacy industrial HMI system to a modern, web-based interface. The original solution was built on an older platform that had become obsolete and unavailable, creating the need for a future-proof alternative.

The project focused on migrating the existing operator interface to a browser-based frontend built with Vue, while preserving the familiar workflows and visual layout operators rely on in daily operation. Through detailed analysis of the existing screens, signals, and control logic, Leap recreated the interface in a modern architecture and validated the new solution against the legacy system using parallel test environments.

The result was a near 1:1 migration that minimized retraining for operators while delivering a flexible, maintainable, and future-ready platform. This type of HMI modernization—moving from legacy industrial systems to modern web-based interfaces—is a core competency at Leap Solutions and a transformation the company has successfully executed across several industrial projects.
