Expert remote support, proactive inspections and scheduled maintenance visits for stable, efficient operations
Project overview
Leap Solutions provides technical support to a biogas plant in Châtillon-sur-Seine, France. The service combines 24/7 remote support with scheduled on-site visits, so the plant has continuous operational support and access to expert help whenever it needs it. The project covers both fast troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance that keeps the plant running efficiently and reliably.
The client’s challenge
The biogas plant needed reliable technical support to keep operations running continuously while handling complex, integrated systems. The client needed immediate access to experts when faults occurred in its SCADA and PLC systems, as well as regular on-site inspections and repairs that required specialist knowledge and equipment. A key challenge was to balance efficient remote support with necessary physical work on site, while keeping downtime to a minimum.
Solution
Leap Solutions set up a comprehensive support structure with 24/7 remote support, where the plant’s staff can contact technical specialists for quick guidance on SCADA systems, PLC troubleshooting and manual fixes at the plant.
For tasks that require specialist knowledge or special equipment, we schedule visits to France. We travel by plane or car, depending on the nature of the task and the equipment required. To make the most of each trip, we usually combine several tasks into the same visit, which often lasts several weeks.
During these visits, we carry out thorough inspections and tests to find potential problems before they disrupt operations. The client receives detailed reports that document all observations, describe any problems and suggest possible solutions. The client can then either carry out the fix themselves or have Leap Solutions do the work on a later visit.
Result
The support agreement has kept operational disruptions to a minimum. It has done so through fast remote troubleshooting, better maintenance planning with coordinated on-site visits, and early detection of potential problems through regular inspections and tests.
The plant’s staff also now have access to specialist expertise that helps them act quickly and effectively on site. The detailed documentation gives the client full transparency and a solid basis for prioritising maintenance tasks and allocating resources efficiently.
